How does Altus CoolGlide® laser hair removal treatment work?
Altus CoolGlide® laser hair removal, used at our Glastonbury, Connecticut office serving Hartford and the New Haven area, is designed specifically to eliminate unwanted hair from the body. A non-invasive light therapy device, the Altus CoolGlide® laser produces a concentrated pulse of light that is directed through a cooled hand piece and gently applied to the treatment area.
The laser energy from CoolGlide® laser hair removal passes through the skin to the hair follicle. The carefully determined pulses of laser energy are then absorbed by pigment in the hair and hair follicle, which causes selective damage to the hair root without damaging other structures of the skin.
