Hi EmmaJane,
Nair and similar chemical depilatory creams work by weakening the hair follicles (root cells). So, if you have recently used these products before having laser hair removal treatment, then the laser will be less effective as it will not be able to target the hair follicles as sucessfully.
For this reason, it is advisable to stop using nair etc ideally 6 months or more prior to undertaking laser hair removal.
