These are the type of Laser treatments you can use and which might be best for you.
Diode Laser is the most common laser hair removal device; it is very effective for hair removal on any type of skin apart from very dark skin colours. But it is not absolutely clear how enduring a result patients will achieve with these kinds of system.
We’re as the Alexandrite Laser is best suited for lighter set skin type’s i.e. pale skin albino skin types.
Ruby Laser is only really suitable for the same types of skin i.e. pale skin; the long-term results of Ruby hair removal machines are well established. However, these machines are fairly old fashioned now so probably not as effective as the more cutting-edge Alexandrite hair removal machines.
YAG is the most commonly used laser hair removal device for darker skin types i.e. Hispanic, Afro-American or Middle Eastern. However, because they are specifically designed to guard dark skin from blistering, they are not so effective on fine hairs.

Now here is a few questions and answer I’ve put in here just to help a few of you out!
Does laser hair removal completely or partially remove hair from the target area?
The fact of laser hair removal treatment is not removal hair completely but can reduce the density of your hair about 80% - 90% after the complete set of 4 - 6 treatments.
Hair has three growth phases that are Active growth phase, Regressive phase and Resting phase. About 85% of hairs are during Active growth phase for several years. Laser only can affect the hair during this stage but not removal the remainder hairs during Regressive phase and resting phase. A small number of hair follicles are still to regrow new hair even if they have had a laser hair removal treatment.
These reasons lead to the laser hair removal can only reduce the density of hair but not removed completely.
Hair growth cycle and the results of laser hair removal, how does it work?
Hair growth cycles have three distinct growth phases: 1) Active growth phase, 2) Regressive phase, 3) Resting phase.
Medical research has conclusively shown that hair growth cycles differ on various parts of the body. The laser most effectively disables hair that is in the 1) active growth (anagen) phase. Below, we take a look at the various hair growth cycle and the effects of laser hair removal.
1) Active growth phase (Anagen phase)
It is ONLY during this stage that we can permanently disable hair growth. It is the BEST effects during this stage for laser hair removal.
The Anagen phase will lasts up to several years. At any given time, the majority (85%) of our body hair is in this phase. During anagen, the hair follicle is directly connected to the blood vessels and the hair has an abundance of melanin.
The laser target is in the melanin of the hair. There is the best effectiveness of laser hair removal because of an abundance of melanin during active growth phase. Laser will cut off the blood supply to hairs, all the hair in the target area will be affected during the laser procedure but only the hair follicles in the Anagen phase will be permanently disabled.
Laser hair removal treatments are done over time because there are not 100% of the hairs in the Anagen phase, but levels approximating 80 to 90% permanent are possible.
2) Regressive phase (Catagen phase)
Hairs cannot be permanently disabled while the hair can be destroyed. The hair is not visible and capable of absorbing the laser light and therefore cannot be destroyed.
Hairs are no longer connected to the blood supply. The Catagen phase will lasts about two weeks, during which the hair stops growing but is not yet shed. About 3 - 4% of our body hair is in this phase at any given time.
3) Resting phase (Telogen phase)
Hair is no longer connected to anything and it is preparing to fall out. The hair is not visible and capable of absorbing the laser light and therefore cannot be destroyed.
The Telogen phase will lasts 5 - 6 weeks, at the end of which the hair falls out and a new hair begins to form. Approximately 10-13% of our body hair is in this phase at any one time.
Anyway I hope that fills all you in on laser hair treatment, take care and good luck.
