Submitted by admin on April 21, 2011 - 13:22Underarm darkening has been a problem that women have battled against for years using remedies that include waxing, shaving and usage of hair removal creams. However, continued usage of these remedies over a period of time makes the underarms dark, dull and patchy.
NIVEA India Pvt. Ltd., an affiliate of Beiersdorf AG and world’s largest skincare brand, introduced yet another global innovation in the deodorant category – WHITENING, a deodorant for women. The R&D team at NIVEA has developed ‘WHITENING’ – a deodorant that REPAIRS UNDERARM SKIN AND MAKES IT FAIRER & EVEN TONED. It also has 48 hr efficacy and care with long lasting feminine floral fragrance to provide long lasting freshness.
Underarm darkening has been a problem that women have battled against for years using remedies that include waxing, shaving and usage of hair removal creams. However, continued usage of these remedies over a period of time makes the underarms dark, dull and patchy.
NIVEA has found a solution to all these problems in its WHITENING deodorant. A FIRST EVER IN INDIA AND WORLDWIDE, this deodorant contains a product ingredient called “licorice extracts” that counteracts skin darkening and works against hyper pigmentation.
These licorice extracts are natural plant extracts that are traditional skin lightening agents and reduce melanin production. Effect? Fairer and even toned underarms, just like the rest of the body. The deodorant also contains witch hazel that exhibits skin calming and soothing effects and has astringent properties that help close small wounds and ease itching post repair.
Danielle Lineker: How to get lovely legs for summer
Submitted by admin on April 21, 2011 - 10:44
Having hidden them under trousers and opaque tights for the better part of six months, I’m heading to LA and facing the frightening reality of getting my legs out.
And we all know what that means. Waxing, toning and tanning time is officially here again.
We might not all have pins like Kate Bosworth but there’s no excuse for pale, pasty, hairy legs. So, if you’re planning an outing for your pins then the first thing you need to do is tackle hair removal. Whether you wax, shave or epilate you need to get organised.

Waxing is a good option as it lasts up to three weeks but professional waxing isn’t cheap and remember you need to leave 48 hours before you apply any fake tan to your legs afterwards.
A friend of mine has been raving about the Braun Silk-epil, (£39.69, www.amazon.co.uk) a brilliant hair removal device that’s perfect because you can take it on holiday with you. I can’t promise it’s painless as it pulls out the hair from the root but once you get the hang of it it’s really easy to use, and after the initial investment it will save you money on waxing appointments.
If you’re looking for the perfect razor then I swear by the Gillette Venus (£4.99, www.boots.com) because the gel bars make it smooth and easy to use. As with all hair removal techniques, make sure you exfoliate your legs to avoid ingrowing hairs.
Sadly, I don’t have time to hit the gym before I go away but I am a firm believer in the saying, “if you can’t tone it, tan it”. And in the summer months fake tan should be every girl’s best friend.
Kim Kardashian Started Waxing At 12 Years Old!
Submitted by admin on April 18, 2011 - 17:46Reality star Kim Kardashian has revealed she was a regular customer to beauty salons and had her first bikini wax at the tender age of 12.

The 30-year-old socialite sais she would go with her mother Kris Jenner and older sister Kourtney once a month to remove her unsightly hair.
In an interview with Usmagazine.com, Kardashian said: "Literally, at twelve years old I had a bikini wax. I had an appointment once a month on a specific day, like every Friday we'd go and get the inside of our brows waxed and a bikini wax."
The reality star, who is promoting TRIA Laser Hair Removal System also revealed she was a fan of waxes until her and her sisters discovered laser treatments.
The curvy covergirl added: "I used to have my own wax kit at home and I used to just wax all the time. And then when my hair was up in a ponytail I used to have hair on my neck and I had it lasered off. I'm, like, obsessed with hair removal.
"My sisters and I started to get hair removal at 12, whether it was our legs, our upper lip. And then when laser hair removal came along I thought it was the best invention."
However, Kardashian, who is dating NFL star Kris Humphries, is wary of men without body hair.
She said: "I definitely don't like it if there's, like, nothing there, it's weird, but I like it to be well groomed."
Well, that's something else we know about Kris Humphries then!

Which is better, Laser Hair Removal or Waxing?
Submitted by aoki13 on October 23, 2010 - 11:06Waxing
Waxing is the most effective hair removal option before the advent of laser hair removal. It is done through applying a hot wax to the surface of the skin, and then ripping it off to remove hair by the root. Of course, the description depicts pain during the process. If it’s done improperly, it can rip the surface of the skin, cause burns, or even cause breakouts. However, even if it’s done properly, it could still cause breakouts, since it is one of the common side-effects of waxing.
