Hi ryansmom,
My friend had a full brazilian done on her bikini hair, by laser, and she said that pain wasn't too bad. She had told them she was really nervous about it hurting, because she used to have it waxed (a few years back) but she stopped going because it hurt too much. So they told her to have tylenol before she had it done, and they used some kind of numbing cream, like a topical anaesthetic? Plus they also treated the area with ice before and after the treatment. She was really happy :) I wish I could afford to have it done! Oh the other thing they said was they told her to shave before each of the laser treatments, because it hurts more if you have stubble or longer hair there.

I thought about doing a brazilian for a long time and when I eventually did it i did it with a normal razor and BOY was it sore. I think that a special electric shaver might be better, or better still laser hair removal, but that could be painful down there I think. it's just such a sensitive area.
For legs and underarms I find shaving is just fine - until you can afford laser hair removal that is :)
