hi KKJ4

I m not sure in which context you need this information, my advice is if you are planning about using these drugs; do that with the permission of you doctor.

About Antiandrogens i have following information for you,

Antiandrogens include a group of drugs which directly decrease androgen production in the body or block the action of androgens on the androgen receptors (e.g present in hair follicles). The various antiandrogens include Spironolactone, Finasteride, Cyproterone acetate and Metformin.
Useful effects
Antiandrogens are used mostly in the males with cancer of prostate or in men with PBH who are at risk of developing cancer. For women these are used to treat women with HIrsuitism. These are also used in women with PCOS to help make periods more regular and possibly improve fertility in these patients when the initial disease has been controlled.
Harmful effects
These drug may cause hormonal imbalance and sevral other hormonal dusfunction when used injudiciously. These can also cause bearth defects so doctors usually also prescribe oral contraceptives for sexually active women in addition to antiandrogens.
